★★★★★ For every middle class dreamer who's figuring things out
A must-read for every dreamer, especially those from middle class India.
As a 90s kid from a middle class family, I could relate to so much of the first half of this book. The childhood memories, the dreams, the struggles and that constant feeling of wanting to do something big in life. It all felt very familiar.
The Mario and Contra chapter was particularly special. I used to visit my cousin's place just to play those 9999-in-1 games.
Reading that chapter took me straight back to those days. I'm sure many 90s kids will feel the same.
But beyond the nostalgia, what really stayed with me was the idea that you don't need to come from an IIT or a prestigious college to build something meaningful. In fact, sometimes not having that tag can be a blessing.
Akash's journey is a great reminder that your background doesn't have to define how far you can go.
If you're an aspiring entrepreneur, especially someone from a middle-class family with big dreams but limited resources, this book will resonate with you.
One word I'd use to describe the book is Pivot. Life doesn't always go as planned, and sometimes the ability to change direction makes all the difference.
Another thing I genuinely didn't expect was the faith in the book. Here's someone who has built a business, taken risks and faced uncertainty, yet talks about leaving things in God's hands. That was a pleasant surprise.
It's a simple, honest and inspiring read. Not just for entrepreneurs, but for anyone who has big dreams and is still figuring out how to make them happen.
If you're at a point in life where you're questioning your next move or wondering whether you can make it, give this book a read.
A solid book that reminds you to keep trying, even when the odds aren't in your favour.
P.S. There's an exercise in the book where you get a blank page to write down 100 dreams. I absolutely loved that idea. Haven't filled mine yet, but I will. And once I do, I'll come back and update this review. :)
